March 23 Reusable Wedding Items

I didn’t go the whole borrowed/blue/etc. route for my wedding attire, but I did acquire a few items for the special day that I knew I would be able to use again. This pleased me for nostalgic and budgetary reasons.

Happily, I found some flats at Payless that matched my dress and were super-comfy – very important for all those hours on the day – and the style wasn’t so froofy that I couldn’t wear them later.

Today I wore my jewelry from that day. My creative and crafty friend Ansley Raith made this necklace and earrings to match my dress. The dress had a bunch of beading on the front, so I wanted to keep the jewelry low-key. That also meant – yep, reusable! (You can acquire some of your own lovely jewelry creations from Ansley here.)

Hooray for the intersection of practicality and special meaning.
